the sender has to go to any Banca Romaneasca branch location or to any branch of the partner banks: CR Firenze, ATE Bank, Vlasor si Sizera. The sender must know the exact and complete name and surname of the receiver, the transaction destination and must have a valid ID with photography (e.g.: ID card - for residents; passport, ID card for European Union citizens - for non-resident etc.). As well, this has to communicate to the operator, verbally, the elements needed to process the transaction and fills in the anti-fraud form; he/she hands over the amount to be transferred and pays a fee for this service. The fee depends on the transferred amount, destination (Romania or abroad) and is charged only to the sender. The fee ranges between USD 13 (for an amount not exceeding USD 50), respectively Euro 7 (for an amount of Euro 50) and USD 400 (for an amount of USD 10,000), respectively Euro 299 (for an amount of Euro 7,500).
The maximum amount which can be sent through Western Union service is $ 10,000 or Euro and LEI equivalent (the exchange rate will be Western Union rate, not NBR rate). For the amounts exceeding USD 7,500 or EUR or LEI equivalent, the sender must submit documents proving the emergency of tranfer.
