Banca Romaneasca - Member of the National Bank of Greece Group has been included into the National Securities Commission (NSC) Public Register - Intermediaries Section, since 2008, through Certificate no. 330/05.11.2008, and afterwards, in January 2009 was admitted by the Central Depository as Participant to the Clearing-Settlement and Registry System - Custodian Agent.

As custodian agent, the Bank offers mainly to institutional clients, but also to individuals and legal persons with a certain experience on activities related to capital market, the following specialized services:

  • Opening of financial instruments accounts and safekeeping of such instruments into individual accounts opened on behalf of clients and/or into global accounts;
  • Administrating of financial instruments accounts, according to the instructions received from clients;
  • Opening and administration of related cash accounts according to the instructions received from clients for: foreign exchange deals for the clients' activities in relation with capital markets operations, repatriation of amounts in foreign currency
  • Settlement of financial instruments transactions concluded on local markets;
  • Settlement of financial instruments transactions concluded on foreign markets;
  • Corporate actions services: collection and distribution of relevant information/events about listed companies (General Meetings of Shareholders, capital modifications, mergers/splits, etc.), collection and distribution of dividends, coupons and other incomes or rights resulted from shares holding;
  • Information about market news, legislative changes, local capital market practice, etc.;
  • Payment of fees owed by the clients to the investment firms (SSIF) for intermediating their transactions;
  • Clients portfolio evaluation and submission of related reports;
  • Safekeeping of the financial instruments in a materialized form, within the bank's vault.

Banca Romaneasca - Member of the National Bank of Greece Group is member of the Investors Compensation Fund. The purpose of this fund is to compensate investors if the fund's members fail to return the funds and/or the financial instruments owed by or belonging to investors, which have been held on their behalf for providing investments services.
