Banca Românească announces launching a banking products and services package exclusively addressed to pensioners that choose to receive their pension on the card. By choosing Banca Romaneasca services, pensioners can save money and time, but they can also enjoy additional benefits, such as low commissions and interest rates for deposits higher than the standard ones.

Within "Pensia Activă" package, the pensioners benefit of a Visa Electron debit card with zero commissions, free of charge cash withdrawals from the bank's ATMs, card payment and statement of account for a total cost of 1RON/month. As well, for the cash withdrawals from the counter the commission collected by the bank is preferential, ten times lower than the standard one: 0,05% of the withdrawn amount.

The holders of a pension card from Banca Românească can choose the option of Direct Debit for paying the invoices or the loans instalments or can use the card to pay the utilities invoices from the current account, at the bank's ATMs. For the ATM invoice payment, in the case of the suppliers with accounts opened with Banca Românească, costs are zero.

Using Visa Electron card attached to each current account offers an additional safety in comparison with cash payments. As well, paying by card in partner shops within "Smart Discounts" program, the customers can benefit of discounts up to 35% for purchases.

The amounts kept in the current account benefit of a 1,5% interest rate, five times higher than the standard one. "Pensioner" term deposit benefit of a preferential interest rate higher than the standard one. After the first renewal, if the deposit is closed before the maturity, the customer receives the interest rate for the standard term deposits.

The customers that choose "Pensia Activă" package can activate the Internet Banking service with zero management costs, the fees to use the service being 40% decreased as compared to the standard ones.

"We have created this package taking into consideration the services and products mostly used by this category of customers. They firstly want financial safety, low costs and competitive interest rates for deposits. We are trying to be different from other players in the market also through our communication way, through an explicit and clean banking language, accessible to all client categories ", stated Dan Grigoriu, Head of Retail Segments and Products Division.

At the end of last month, Banca Românească signed the pensions' payment agreement with the National House of Public Pensions, thus offering to its customers the possibility to receive their pensions other social insurance rights on the card.

Based on this agreement, Banca Româneasca customers will be able to receive in their accounts the pensions from the Romanian public system and/or other social insurance rights stipulated by special laws. The following are part of the special category: anticipated pensions, partially anticipated pensions, survivor benefits, incapacity benefits.

By choosing this, pensioners don't have to wait anymore for the postman monthly, but they receive their money in the account, on the 14th, each month.
